SWIM GROUPS




Level I   Coaching emphasis is on proper technique for all four swim strokes, turns and starts.  Swimmers will also begin to build endurance.  Fun is an essential element in Level I swimming.




Level II  swimmers continue practicing stroke technique and building endurance.  Higher intensity practices, a dry-land exercise program and racing strategies are introduced at this level.




Level III   swimmers are highly motivated with goals to compete at the highest levels of New England and Eastern Zone swimming.  Practices include more intense water and dry-land training.




SENIOR   These athletes have a high level of commitment and ability and are expected to perform at the highest levels of United States Swimming.  Practices also include a higher intensity of water and dry-land training as well as morning practices.





The coaches will meet with parents and swimmers to determine ability levels.
